Yori

My name is Yori Juarez I am 13 years old and I attend Alvarado Intermediate School. A little bit of my family is that my mom and dad are from Guatemala and my sister and brother were also born in a different country/state. I am the only son that was born in the United States of America. One of my professional goals is that I want to become a Police Officer because my uncle was a cop and it seemed cool and that is on of my professional goal. The college I want to attend is a Rio Hondo college because it's close to family and it's where my sister is currently going right now. I am trying to get my scholars because that can help me a lot if earn that. And that is a little bit about myself and family.

This project help me answer this question because people come from all around the world and when they came to the US that is what the shape is, is the different people in this country there are different people that come here to live a better live and get new jobs because there problems back at their home country. It has shaped america because all the immigrants that come are here not to harm or bring anything and people think they come to hurt us when they really aren't they come to get a new life to restart and that help me understand more of how people shaped america. It is important to hear the stories of immigrants because some people are going to be like why is there immigrants coming into the country when you really don't know why they came because if you take the time and talk to a immigrant person and talk to them why they came here you are going to have a better understanding of why they came here instead of talking bad about them when they are struggling in other places. New things that I learned about was that most of the immigrants that come to the united states are hispanic and they come because in there home country they are having problems with gang violence, drug trafficking, paying bills, not good paying job and prices of things. Some people come to start a new life in the US not just because they are having problems back at home maybe they also want to live closer to family because they are far from each other. The skills I used was writing , research , and website design. Me and my partner were writing about the different ways people migrate from there country to the USA. The research that we used were a lot because we had had to find out the different ways they came here and why they came here and we also had to interview people who are immigrants to also know why people come to the USA and that is what we did for research. We are creating website design about are character that we interviewed that was my partners grandma and how and why she came to the USA and on that website we are going to put why she came here and how did she come here and that is what we are going to put in our website design. I realized that when You interview people that there are going to be comfortable talking about why they came t the usa because that is personal stuff that they are talking to you with and if you are getting interview you also have to be comfortable saying some personal stuff just so that they can be like safe and comfortable with you as well. A personal lesson that I learned that is that my parents also came here for a reason they had some problem back at their home country because they aren't just come for fun they came because they had some problem back at home and they had to go through some hard things to get here to the USA.
